Follow these easy steps to get your Zanussi ZK 59/32 RF Refrigerator up and running in no time.

1. Unpacking and Initial Cleaning

Remove all securing tapes from the refrigerator. Wash the inside of the appliance with a mixture of lukewarm water and bicarbonate of soda (5 ml to 0.5 litre of water). Dry thoroughly. Do not use soap or detergents as the smell may linger.

2. Positioning

Place the appliance in a suitable location. Ensure that the back of the appliance is close to a wall but leaves the required distance for ventilation as stated in the installation instructions. Adjust the level of the appliance by screwing out the adjustable foot or feet at the bottom of the cabinet.

3. Electrical Connection

Plug in the appliance and switch on at the mains supply. Any electrical work required to install this appliance should be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person.

4. Allow Appliance to Settle

After installation, allow the appliance to stand for 2 hours before turning it on. This allows the refrigerant to settle.

5. Starting the Appliance

After the 2-hour settling period, turn on the appliance. Open the fridge door and turn the thermostat control to a midway setting (3-4). Adjust the air circulation slider control to a midway position between 'cold' and 'coldest'. Leave the appliance for approximately 4 hours to reach the correct temperature before placing food inside.

6. Setting the Temperature

The temperature inside the appliance is regulated by a thermostat with 6 positions and an 'OFF' (O) position. Position 1 is the minimum coldness and position 6 is the maximum coldness. Adjust the thermostat as needed based on the ambient temperature and your cooling needs.
